Since Donovan and I have been married we have debated the topic of a real Christmas tree or a fake Christmas tree. I grew up in Oregon and my grandparents had a farm out of the 100 acres 10 acres were Christmas trees. So every year we would go and pick our family Christmas tree and I would get to pick a small one just for my room. I absolutely love Christmas it is my favorite holiday, and I loved having a real Christmas tree growing up it is one of my favorite childhood memory. This being said I have tried to convince Donovan to go and get a real tree every year. When it was just us it didn't seem to be as big of a deal, but now that we have Connor I want him to enjoy the same traditions I did as a child. So today we went to a Christmas tree lot and let Connor pick out his first real Christmas tree.

Since I already have a tree on our family room we put this tree in the kitchen and Connor got to do all of the decorating of his tree
The finished tree, it was such a great day, I love the smell this tree brings to my home and all of the memories it brings. I hope that one day Connor will share these special traditions with his family
