My Pride and Joy

I am not very good at writing my emotions and relaying what I feel in my heart to a piece of paper but, today is just one of those days were I love being a mom, and I am so grateful the Lord has given me such a sweet little boy. Some days being a mom is the hardest job I have ever done, but it is days like today that I remember how much I love Connor and I am so thankful the Lord allowed me to be his Mom. Connor I love you with all my heart, I can not imagine my life without your sweet spirit. I pray daily that I can live up to the expectations of the Lord and raise you to be a strong, compassionate man who loves the gospel and life. I am so privileged to be a mom and have the blessing of a child in my home. Connor thank you for choosing us to be your eternal family, we love you.

Papa's and Nana's Suprise

My parents usually watch Connor after I work a night shift so I can sleep a couple of hours, which is such a blessing to have family close to help us out when we need it. So after working Wednesday night my parents brought Connor home, usually he come running through the front door and wake me up, but this day he just kept knocking and ringing the doorbell, so I tiredly walked to the front door and when I opened it Connor was sitting on a new bike. He was so proud to show me his new bike. Papa and Nana told Connor that they were going to go to the store and buy Connor a surprise, papa asked Connor if he could have anything for his surprise what would it be Connor replied a BIKE, luckily for Papa and Nana this is what they were going to buy him anyways! Since we got the bike Connor wants to do nothing but ride outside he is still working on pedaling the bike but still he absolutely loves it, he even wanted us to let him sleep with it. Thanks Papa and Nana for being such awesome grandparents!!!

First 4-Wheeling Trip of the Season

We went wheeling with our good friends the Morris family on Saturday, it started out as a really nice ride near Spanish Fork CanyonConnor and the kids throwing rocks into the creek by the trailWhat started out as a nice warm ride, turned into a race down the canyon in an awful storm, we had been riding for about an hour when we stopped to have lunch, then the clouds came, and then just as we got on are rain ponchos the rain/hail started. We drove as fast as we could down the canyon but it still took and hour in the pouring rain, this is what we all looked like at the end of the trip. That is Connor wrapped in a poncho and my wonderful Packers hat that protected Connor's face all the way down the canyon ( so no more comments from Jason or Donovan about the hat) The boys getting the wheelers loaded
This picture does not do justice to how soaked and muddy we all were, it was an adventure but it was a lot of fun to spend time with Jason, Lisa and the kids hopefully next time we can avoid the stormy weather

Freezer Jam

These two pictures do not even begin to describe my freezer jam adventurel, I ended up getting 6 flats of jam not knowing how much this would really make I learned rather quickly this was more jam then I would ever want to do. So 46 quarts of jam later we finished, we will now have strawberry jam for years to come
