Over the New Years weekend we went up to Donovan's parents cabin in Fairview it started out good got bad really quickly and then ended well, this was the first picture we took of Connor while we were packing the snowmobiles to head up to the cabin. We started our trek up the mountain everything was going well until we were about a mile from the cabin, the snow was deep and most of the trail was groomed by a snowcat so we didn't have a problem but then we came upon 6 feet of snow that had not been touched by anyone, we made a turn and tried to head a different road to the cabin. Connor and I got off the snowmobile while Donovan tried to go down the hill to check out the trail, my sister-in-law and her husband and their little girl Mallory were also with us and then stayed up the top of the hill with Connor and I. Not to far down the hill Donovan got the snowmobile stuck, we thought maybe we could walk to the cabin but with every step we sunk in the snow up to our waists and there was no way I could carry Connor through all that snow. Brian decided he would also try the trail down to the cabin and then got that snowmobile stuck. So here we were stuck and stranded in the freezing cold with 2 screaming kids. The boys kept trying to get the snowmobiles unstuck, while my in laws tried to call for the snowcat to come and get us. Connor and I stayed put at the top of the hill, after a couple of hours passed and with many prayers and phone-calls back and forth 2 men on snowmobiles found me and Connor at the top of the hill they rode the trail a few times trying to make a trail so we could get to the cabin, finally they loaded Connor and me on one of the snowmobiles and got us safely to the warm cabin, they then went back to get everyone else and about that same time the snowcat found the others and got everyone else to the cabin safely they then helped get all of the snowmobiles unstuck and the snowcat groomed a trail to the cabin so we could all get out safely. We spent the rest of the night around the fireplace getting warm. We are so thankful for the kindness of two strangers who stopped to help and also the prayers of our family that helped us all get to the cabin safely.
After a safe night in the cabin we decided to go out and play in the snow the next morning, Connor loves the snow and had such a blast it was a beautiful sunny day.

Connor loved riding the snowmobile he was upset that we had stopped to go sledding down the hill, all he wanted to do was ride
