THREE MONTHS AND LOVING IT!!!!!!

I can't believe it Connor is three months old today time really does fly. I started back to work this week and that was really hard to leave Connor luckily it is with my mom so that makes it a little easier plus I only have to work two days a week which is really nice. Connor is getting so big he is around 13 lbs and 26 inches long (oh my do we have trouble finding clothes :). This is Connor's new toy he loves to be sitting or standing and moving all the time we are going to be in big trouble when Connor starts to crawl and walk! We of course had to take a picture of his first time sitting in his new toy he absolutely loves it.
We were playing with Connor the other day on the couch and noticed is undivided attention towards the TV and we have since discovered Connor loves to watch the Jazz or just basketball in general, he watches until there is half-time or time-out and wants to play but as soon as the game comes back on he goes right back to watching the TV. Although I am not so thrilled about him loving the TV it is probably a really good thing he likes basketball since he will be so tall!!
Connor loves the bath he will spend 15-20 minutes playing in the water and splashing himself in the face it is so fun to watch!

Connor is growing bigger and bigger and time is flying by he is now taking more regular naps during the day and sleeping through the night what a glorious thing to get hours of uninterrupted sleep. He will be walking and talking before I know it. Connor has also decided he no longer likes the pacifier and would rather have his thumb lucky us as much as I have tried to prevent him from sucking on his thumb I turn my head for a minute and he sticks it right back in his mouth, I have a feeling this is going to be a battle that I am going to lose!!!!!!!!

GETTING AROUND !!!!

These past couple of weeks have been a lot of fun!! Connor is now starting to roll over, we are saying good-bye to the days of being able to leave him on the couch or on the bed without being worried now we have to keep a good eye on him.
This is Connor's favorite toy he loves to get his hands on the frog in the middle and make him sing it has been a lot of fun watching Connor get more coordination with his hands and actually being able to grab the toys on purpose not just by luck!

I just had to take a picture of Connor all bundled up this was his outfit for his first long walk around the neighborhood it was a lot of fun to watch his eyes get big at all of the things to see in the outside world, but of course he soon was soundly asleep in his stroller!

Connor continues to grow bigger and bigger we have now had to put most of his 0-3 month clothing in storage bins because he is to big. He is still able to fit in the 0-3 month onsies but he is so long his pants have become capris and I am having a hard time finding any pants that fit around his waist and are also long enough. I guess I will have to invest in pins. The joys of having a growing boy who will probably taller then his dad. I have really enjoyed my time with Connor at home and I am sad that in another week I will have to go back to work it is only going to be a couple of days a week but it is still going to be hard :( I am just very lucky and glad that Connor has started to sleep through the night on most nights. He goes to bed around 830 and then wakes up around 700am which I am suprised he sleeps that long considering all he wants to do is eat and then eat again. He sure is growing big and both Donovan and I love to play and spend time with him some days we just wish he wouldn't grow so fast!!!!

Blessings

This week sure has been busy. We blessed Connor on Sunday and we had lots of family that attended, after the blessing we had a luncheon at our house we counted over 60 people in our house at one time it was sure crowded but wonderful! The hard part was preparing for all of those people luckily I have great family support and they all helped me tons I don't think I could have done it without them. It was really neat to have so much family support my grandparents from Oregon were here last weekend and they even flew back into town just to be at the blessing. Even my grandma who just had knee surgery came for the occasion. It was a lot of fun!! Connor is getting so big he is now sleeping in his crib at night and just when I think he is getting a routine he switches it up but luckily some nights he does sleep for 7 to 8 hours at a time and we get very excited to have sleep for a longer period of time. Connor also had to go and get his 2 month shots and check- up it is so sad to have to sit and watch him get those awful shots especially since there is not one but four, but he did well and he now weighs 12 lbs and is around 25 inches long, my he is growing fast. Now that the blessing is over and the basement closets are done life might just be a little simpler but I am sure Connor will suprise us with something new and spice it up again. On a not so happy note this last Saturday we received the news that my great-grandma had passed away she lives in Oregon and we wish we could fly in for the funeral but with a two month old it is just to hard to try and take him on the plane. We are sorry for her loss but joyed that she can return to her many family members including spouse who have passed on before her, she will be missed here on this earth.

Hard Work!!

This week has been less eventful with Connor but we have been building closets in the basement. When I say we I really mean Donovan. Donovan comes home at night spends a few minutes with Connor and it is back to work, normally I would be helping but I am usually feeding Connor since that is all he wants to do is eat he is really going to be a big kid it seems like he is always hungry! Hopefully the basement will be finished this weekend and Donovan can stop working so hard. Connor is doing well and is growing like a weed and I am happy to report since we started giving him his medication daily we no longer have the lovely event of daily projectile vomiting. Each day brings new and exciting adventures with our little boy and I love being at home to take care of him!!! I just had to add this picture of Connor holding his own bottle!!

Fighting the Cold

This week has brought new adventures into our lives. Connor is still fighting of the cold but getting better but he has continued the projectile vomiting usually once a day. I have tried many different bottles and formula and continous burping to try and prevent the episodes and nothing has seemed to help. Along with the vomiting Connor has been extremely fussy and if I get 45 minutes of sleep a night I am lucky. Finally at a recent doctor's appointment yesterday we figured he has reflux and now is on medication which we will find out if it is going to work over the next couple of days and hopefully we will all be getting more sleep at night. On the bright side Connor is growing like a weed he weighed 10 lbs 14 ounces at the Doctor's office yesterday, he is going to be quite a big kid. We have also been enjoying the more frequent smiles and also him focusing more on us when we are talking and playing with him he really brings much joy into our household and hopefully soon he will no longer experience the attacks of vomit!!! Oh and not to forget the fun picture of our little valentine sporting a cute outfit bought buy grandma Tresner!!!

New Challenges

This last week has been a little rough both Donovan and Connor both got sick. Donovan is easy to handle just give some meds and let it run it course. It has been a little harder to have Connor sick sense I don't have meds to give him and he can not tell me what is going on. We went to the Doctor on Saturday morning when Connor was wheezing really bad and having a hard time breathing, he had not been sleeping his usual for a couple of days and I was concerned since it is RSV season. The doctor checked him out and said he had a cold, and that I needed to keep him upright while sleeping and get a humidifier and watch him to make sure he didn't get worse and hope that he would start to get better. It has been trying as I wasn't getting more than an hour of sleep a night and Connor was screaming and there wasn't much I could do but try to rock him back to sleep. He is starting to get better now and he is not wheezing as bad but we are confined to the house for another week or until the cold goes away hopefully he will be feeling better soon as of now Donovan and I are on high alert trying to watch for signs of him getting sicker. Luckily I have my stethoscope so I can listen to him daily to check how his lungs sound. All these new adventures of being a mom keep me on my toes hopefully Connor will start to feel better and we can go back to getting at least a few hours of sleep a night!!!!

New Adventures

Another week has gone by and we always have something exciting with our new addition to our househ0ld. This week we have now learned always have a new diaper in hand when changing Connor. The last few weeks if he went pee while changing his diaper there wasn't enough pressure to shoot very far, but times have changed yesterday while doing a quick change in our room Connor shot the distance and got all over me and all over the bed what joy it is to once again re-wash all the bedroom blankets and sheets. We will now be a little more careful when changing Connors diaper but I am sure we will have many more of these episodes to come as the days go on. Connor is getting so big and I can not believe that in a few days he will be five weeks old. These last couple of weeks have also been so much fun as Connor smiles more now at us and other people rather than when he just has gas!!!!! We look forward to more fun milestones as the weeks go by.
