Connor's cousin Mallory came over to play outside this weekend, they both had such a great time jumping on the tramp and playing in the swimming pool Donovan had a super soaker and when Connor did not want to get sprayed he would grab Mallory and hide behind her it was hilarious these kids are too funny

Summer Fun in the Backyard

Summer is such a fun time of year, we love playing outside in the sun. Connor especially loves the swimming and playing in the water (just like his mom). While we were outside playing I put the sprinkler underneath the tramp, I remember doing this all the time when we were kids, and of course Connor loved it he had so much fun jumping and bouncing in the waterPapa came over before work and Connor decided he needed to join him and play in the water

Connor loves to play outside he especially loves sports, football, basketball, and baseball. This week he has especially wanted his football even when he is sleeping So while he was playing in his pool he decided he would throw his football to one end of the pool and swim to get it.

24th of July Hike

Donovan was off on Monday for the 24th of July weekend, so we decided we would take Connor hiking up Butterfield CanyonConnor started off the hike running he was so excited to chase Sky down the trail

Towards the end of the hike Connor was tired probably because he ran most of the time, so he took a breather on Dad's shoulders

It was such a wonderful family hike, I am glad to have mountains and trails so close to home that we can explore and enjoy

Good-Bye Oregon

We had such a great vacation with family in Oregon, I felt like I was at home and I loved taking Donovan and Connor to show them all that I saw as a kid. Connor really did well on the long drive home it was about 14hrs, we left around 5pm and we only made a few stops to go to the bathroom. Around 10pm Connor finally fell asleep watching his movie and he even went to his room and slept till 11am when we got home, this long vacation without naps really tired the poor little guy out

Multnomah Falls

I remember many times going to visit the falls it is beautiful beyond description. This is one place I really wanted to take Connor while we were in Oregon. We stopped by the falls on are way out of town. We hiked up to the bridge Connor did great he ran to the top and then ran all the way back down to the bottom. I love Oregon and I am so glad I was able to take Donovan and Connor and show them where I grew up

Enchanted Forest

While in Oregon we went to the Enchanted Forest I have not been since a was really little, it was a lot of fun we were definitely spoiled this trip our family planned so many great things for us to go and do and we had such a great timeConnor and the cousins Brooke, Kyliegh, and Scott by Humpty Dumpty

Log Ride, you have to be 40 in to ride this ride luckily Connor had another growth spurt and now is 40in tall

The kids took Connor on a roller coaster with them, they all said he loved it and was laughing the entire time, this kid has no fear This was a cute little train ride that Connor and Brooke went on together at the end of the day.

We had so much fun at Enchanted Forest it is once again amazing to see the world through my child's eyes, these are the moments I miss being a kid

Floating down the River

One of the activities we did while we were in Oregon was float down a river and try to catch crawdads, I think this was our favorite activity it took about three hours to float the river and we caught around 100 crawdads. Connor loved riding in the tubes and also swimming in the river, he is definitely a water babyEveryone helping to get the tubes readyThese are some of the crawdads we caught and cooked, some we let go back into the riverConnor wasn't sure about the crawdads he loved helping us catch them, I just didn't know if he was going to eat anyConnor actually ate a couple pieces of the crawdads he didn't say that they were great but he didn't say they were awful eitherAll of us enjoying our picnic dinner

Time to deflate the rafts and tubes and head home

4th of July with the Steele's

This 4th of July we were in Oregon visiting family, Connor loved the fireworks last year he cried the entire time and this year he was smiling and laughing, I do have to say that all holidays have been more fun being able to watch and enjoy them with ConnorConnor doing his first sparklerConnor and Brooke watching the fireworks

And of course Connor had to do a sparkler without help from mom and dad
